Progress 02: Staying focused


Welcome to the second progress update of Disposition. With these short updates I'll show how I approach certain game design challenges.

With Disposition I want to challenge myself: Get to the point where you can release a game as quickly as possible. This means limiting the scope and staying focused.

Potentially, Disposition could have a large variety of enemies, rich detailed locations and story elements. But for now I limited myself to one enemy type, one level and only minimal story elements.

For me personally, the biggest challenge is not getting lost in tweaking and polishing. My plan for this is to create or set up [insert game element here] and move on. So far I'm doing alright and if I can keep this up I can talk about enemy behavior in the next progress update. Let's see!
